Leak-Free SealGuard Results in Branson, MO

Equipment Operator
Waste Water Collection, Branson, MO

www.cityofbranson.org

S1E came to Branson, MO. and did a demo on SealGuard II. The city had a manhole by a creek and was leaking around the pipe coming into the manhole. John went into the manhole and drilled a series of holes around and pumped this product into the holes. As he was applying the product you could watch the water stop leaking. He sealed up the leak and stopped the infiltration. Recently after a big rain storm we checked on the manhole to see if it was leaking and water was coming out of the ground around the manhole but the manhole was not leaking. Good job, S1E!

SealGuard Terminates 764,640 Gallons of Infiltration in Leesburg, VA

Center Sanitary Sewer System Manager

www.leesburgva.org

We have been astonished by the way that your product (Sealguard) has performed for us here at Leesburg. Since January of 2004 we have officially dedicated a 2 man crew to do our manhole grouting. We are taking advantage of the ability to grout the leaks when we find them and are having tremendous success. In the past we were contracting out the grouting of our manholes, and I can recall more than once when you finally get the contractor there, 40% of the leaks has stopped. After experiencing that a few times, and having the Acrylimide grout material that they were using fail on a number of manholes, we decided to start searching for a material that we could use, and offered the results that we needed. This is how we come across your company, and it is with great pleasure to say that this product and your company have restored our hopes in the grouting industry. The following shows some statistics that we have been tracking since we started with your product: January 2004 to present, we have grouted 186 manholes, stopped 531 gallons of infiltration and used 230 man-hours in the process. Our calculations are 531 gallons per minute x 24 hour period is 764,640 thousand gallons of... Read more ...

Manhole Cracks Repaired with XSeal in Troy, Michigan

City of Troy, MI

troymi.gov

Troy, MI completed a manhole assessment study and identified several structures with barrel joint leaks and low frames. A typical reconstruction of manhole chimneys consists of loading a dump truck with masonry sand, bags of Portland cement and hauling a large cement mixer, and is accompanied by another dump truck hauling a mini excavator and concrete grade rings. This process has been proven to be costly, timely and overall ineffective when rehabilitating infrastructure.

Source One Environmental consulted with Troy on the benefits of using XSeal, a single-component hydrophobic polyurethane sealant to bond and seal concrete, metal, plastic, wood and more. By switching from mixing mortar to join the adjustment rings and castings to using XSeal, one crew can triple their reconstruction time, saving the city costs and time/ The result is an air and water tight seal that will outlast mortar.

“XSeal is great. Before, we had to wait for the mortar to be mixed and wait for it to set up before we could backfill. Then we would double check the inside for cracking. Now we can rebuild chimneys no matter the weather conditions”

SealGuard Leaves Marion, IN Satisfied with Infrastructure Rehabilitation

City of Marion, IN

www.marionindiana.us

The City of Marion, IN was introduced the SealGuard product line nearly two years ago by Source One Environmental. Extremely satisfied by the performance and cost savings with PipePatch, the City decided to give SealGuard a try. The City has a pump station located near Interstate 69 which ran continuously due to the high volume of infiltration estimated at 50 gallons per minute plus! The Sanitary Sewer pipe running from the truck stop located on the other side of Highway 28 tied into the pump station. The infiltration was coming from above the pipe where the pump station wall was cored. The City Worker was lowered into the pump station and directed by Source 1 Environmental how to solve the problem. Since there was a large void above the pipe, okum was used to chink off the water and giving the grout something to collect to. The first hole was drilled directly above the pipe through the pump station wall and one tube of SealGuardII was pumped in. The water slowed by nearly 80% after the first tube set was emptied. A second hole was drilled at 11 o’clock. The pressure was so intense that the water shot through the wall to the other side of the 6’ wide structure and... Read more ...
