An extended flexible coupling, the SilverBack XL is a trenchless product that will serve as a useful tool for municipalities and underground contractors to create permanent, strong pipe connections.

Specifically for pipe bursting and ramming, the SilverBack XL allows contractors to easily connect the two pipes together without having to worry about soil conditions or tensile stressing altering the pipes structural integrity. The SilverBack XL’s extra-long length, flexible PVC material and heavy-duty shear ring allows the coupling to fix pipe alignment problems while resisting heavy earth loads and shear forces. This product includes a gasket, manufactured to the requirements of CSA B602, ASTM D 5926 and ASTM C 1173, 316 stainless steel high torque clamps, heavy-duty shear ring and a coupling manufactured to the standards of ASTM C 1173. SilverBack XL permits 4-by-4-inch clay to plastic, 4-by-4-inch plastic to plastic, 6-by-6-inch plastic to plastic and 6-by-6-inch clay to plastic pipe connections. S1E also offers custom sizes for all common pipe sizes for clay to clay or plastic to plastic material combination.
